Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Hi everyone, and welcome to this weeks SL Education Roundtable.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: These meetings are made possible by the Office of Information Technology at Montclair State University.
CathyWyo1 Haystack: a model student I am sure
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: We meet here each week at 2:30pm SLT for an hour. Our meeting today is on "Communities of Practice: Discussion on Presentation Tools"
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: The SL Education Roundtable is a forum to educate and inform the community about issues that are important and relevant to education.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: The views and opinions of any of our special guests or visitors do not necessarily represent those who volunteer or organize these meetings, or of Montclair State University,
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Our meetings are roundtable style, so those in the theater seats please come down and join us at the table.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Our magic expanding table will always have an empty seat, located closest to the ramp.
npellas Passariello: hello from Greece
Emma Altstatter: I dont have voice, is that ok?
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: The College of Humanities, Social Sciences, or Office of Information Technology.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: This is a public meeting, so we do keep a transcript of what is said in local chat.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: For a copy of older transcripts, please visit http://sler-transcripts.wikispaces.com and for more recent transcripts, please visit http://www.virtualworldsedu.info/slroundtable/
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: I'm Iggy, the scribe for this group, and I'm hosting while AJ Brooks is away. If you've not seen the transcripts I run, you should check them out - they are a great information asset.
Kali Pizzaro: i will be trying to transcribe
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Thanks to Olivia Hotshot for putting together a Flickr group for the SLER. I encourage everyone to join the group and to take pictures from our meeting and add them to the group. Its a great way to show, and grow, our community. Visit http://www.flickr.
Margaret Michalski: @ Emma, just type into text
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Information on FUTURE MEETINGS is available from the notecard giver on the West wall of the Amphitheater.
Kali Pizzaro: yep
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: The SL Education Roundtable meeting happens each week and we are looking to develop a community of educators from around the world with a variety of thoughts, needs, and ideas.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Please join the SL EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE group. If you have problems finding it in search, here inside the amphitheater, on the Eastern wall, you will see a display
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Click the display and follow the instruction in local chat on how to join the group.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Aside from the island we are currently on, Montclair State University also has two other educational islands adjoining to the north.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: There are also numerous learning areas on these adjoining islands, Montclair State CHSS, which is home to our Quidditch pitch and the SL MSU Library,
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: As the group grows, there will be announcements, surveys, and decisions made that will be exclusive to the group.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: and Montclair State CEHSADP, which is home to The Theorist Project and Wilber Middle School Library. Wander around and enjoy.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: If you are on Facebook, please join our group there - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=44078263753&ref=share
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Finally, if you have Mystitool on, or other similar tool, please put it to sleep or detach it for now. :-) It tends to lag things.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Today's meeting is in voice. I ask you to type into text chat anything you want captured for the transcript.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: We do not have transcribers today.
Margaret Michalski: Please check your voice settings. We will be using voice today.
CathyWyo1 Haystack: is waking up the rl equivalent to rezzing ?
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: If you need support with voice, please IM Margaret Michalski who is at the main table.
CathyWyo1 Haystack: anyone given that any thought?
Margaret Michalski: If having trouble IM me
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: As a hint, it is better to have "local chat" open for these meetings, it will help you follow the conversation better.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: You can find local chat by clicking COMMUNICATE in the bottom navigation bar and you'll find LOCAL CHAT as one of the tabs at the bottom of the Communicate window.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: I'd also like to remind folks to come on down and join us around the table, there's always an open seat closest to the ramp.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Why don't we get started they way we usually do, by introducing ourselves. No need to wait, go ahead and type who you are, where you are, and your ties to education into local chat.

Aphilo Aarde: Yes
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- bit split there
Mimi Muircastle: errrr, not yet, but making slide shows myself
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: RL powerpoint
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- using powerpoint in vw is quite different
Profdan Netizen: And note the tool?
Cilian McCullough: fine as long as you preload the textures
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- How did the tools you have used in SL work
Aphilo Aarde: Please check out World University and School's educational FREEWARE - http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Educational_Software
AgileBill Firehawk: Turbo Presomatic
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: How have you used presentation tools in training or teaching?
Olivia Hotshot: Etherpad, also PowerPoint presenter
Katie Fenstalker: takeoff point for discussion -- pics from PP put into simple viewer in SL.
Ping Exonar: presenter Board, Brainboard both from ThinkBalm
Spiral Theas: NMC's media screen - worked really well for a straight PPT presentation.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: For specific tools, how did they work well?
Olivia Hotshot: NMC 's media screen also
Spiral Theas: FLickr viewer - worked well.
Morgen String: notecard reader
Kali Pizzaro: You can use voice if you wish just say your name first
Serena Guardian: I used a slideshow application in SL to do a presentation in RL that was also recorded using Echo 360
Mimi Muircastle: a viewer in SL by importing slides I made in Photoshop elements with captions
Ping Exonar: Presenter Board--excellent!!
Aimee Pixelmaid: Presomatice Viewer - very pleased with it's preloading to reduce lag
Kali Pizzaro: If you have Urls post them please - Iggy
AgileBill Firehawk: yes, preloading is great
Aphilo Aarde: I've used Veodia to stream video into Second LIfe, but I don't think it's working anymore.
Aimee Pixelmaid: correction: Preso Matic Turbo
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy will post his now
Mimi Muircastle: I put mine on a presentation board I made and bought a script
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Hippo Slide Show: http://www.hippo-technologies.co.uk/products/hipposlideshow/index.php

Morgen String: I use it too:-)
Jennette Forager: Also a Control HUD that is very nice.
Mimi Muircastle: I am working on learning , Spiral :)
Morgen String: It allows ppt presentations for free
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: so many choices!
Jarrad Voom: I am
Aphilo Aarde: are justin.tv - broadcast live to a browser
Aphilo Aarde: and dimdim, which I haven't used - video streaming and white board -
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- here is a interesting question
Aphilo Aarde: Both are free
Kali Pizzaro: Vcom he had to own the media stream
Jennette Forager: But not stream...right?
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: I found, for instance, that while I LOVE the VCOMM board's ability to convert Powerpoint shows to in-world presentations, I had to control the media stream on the parcel where I used it. Even for a free tool that was a tall order if I wanted to use it, say, at a conference
Morgen String: yes, or share with the group
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: That's why I like the Hippo Slide-Show Viewer that I also brought along. It lets me drop in images from inventory on the fly at a meeting.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- good point Morgan
Morgen String: :-)
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- lot of homework to pick a tool for the correct setting
Spiral Theas: I can hear you.
Morgen String: ok, thanks
Kali Pizzaro: If nay problems with voice IM Margaret
Aimee Pixelmaid: I just got a lot of buzz in the audio?
Chimera Cosmos: like we used to have to take transparencies to back up ppt failure LOL
Jennette Forager: Ida, can you mute your mike please.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- so lets turn to how a specific tool was used well
Margaret Michalski: Anyone Having trouble let me know
Morgen String: Is Hippo free?
Morgen String: ok, ty
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy - is going to use hippo(7 - 8 lindens)
Kali Pizzaro: to write to oh sorry thought it was cheap
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: I will use the Hippo Slide Show for tutorial slides on Richmond Island
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy who else is using a tool for teaching and what tool
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: I can embed jpgs with text or just pics to it
Katie Fenstalker: want to use the Damani Media viewer to show TED videos for student SL interest group.
Ping Exonar: hippo viewer is free at outpost.reactiongrid.com
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: thanks Ping!
Kali Pizzaro: Thanks that is good to know
Margaret Michalski: If you are not talking please keep your mc muted
Aphilo Aarde: I just added a new section "Second Life Tools" for free software at http://worlduniversity.wikia.com/wiki/Educational_Software#Second_Life_Tools
Serena Guardian: I'm using SGE books to contain syllabi, links for reading, etc.
Aphilo Aarde: Please add free educational software, or let me know about it.
Morgen String: Yes, quite useful
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy is anyone using
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: sloodle
Katie Fenstalker: (we only have blackborg on my campus.)
Kali Pizzaro: cheers
Profdan Netizen: My understanding is that it's now available, haven't used it.
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: works with Moodle
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: SLOODLE should have a presentation module...I've not seen it yet
Chimera Cosmos: Clever Zebra presenter? anyone mentioned that?
Kali Pizzaro: resistance is futile Katie
Olivia Hotshot: A resource for those who want to tream video - Land Answers for Second Life | Twine http://bit.ly/oGxTx
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: Sloodle does have a presentation viewer.
Kali Pizzaro: Fantastic Olivia - Iggy
Olivia Hotshot: It can be tricky.
Morgen String: Yes, I used Sloodle and it is useful
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- the other uses for these tools for this semester
Morgen String: Yes, but the presentation viewer has to be presented. It is not user-friendly for presenting powerpoints
Kali Pizzaro: please tell us for the transcript
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: Sloodle has a tool that allows importing PowerPoint as a single L$10 graphic.
Morgen String: ah... not aware of it
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- great to hear about sloodle
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: Never used Sloodle.
AgileBill Firehawk: yeah, you need media control
Morgen String: presenter also allows to view youtube videos
Olivia Hotshot: Low budget - low tech way to do it = create a prim and just drag on the the slides *textures* one at a time - downside - no pre-loading, It is important to get presentation tools that pre-load the slides.
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: Just attended a presentation on Sloodle twice.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Does the SLOODLE tool for ppt imports require that you control the media stream on the land?
AgileBill Firehawk: yes,
Aphilo Aarde: Does anyone know free software to stream video into Second Life, as vdeodia did for a trial period?
Aimee Pixelmaid: Preso-Matic Turbo preloads, but I don't think it streams
AgileBill Firehawk: I believe so
AgileBill Firehawk: (I use it)
Jennette Forager: BlackBoard now has a portal, that is correct.
Kali Pizzaro: yeah i have seen that
Kali Pizzaro: iggy - sloode may be developing a plug in for Blackboard
Jennette Forager: I'll find the url
AgileBill Firehawk: Sloodle is cool, but I didn't find it easy to setup
Profdan Netizen: Did you all see the desk sharing app that AJ tweeted? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtHO4AtVSwc
Olivia Hotshot: Blackboard has a portal to what?
Margaret Michalski: Where can you find that portal for Blackboard?
Profdan Netizen: Angel was doing some initial stuff to integrate, but since Blackborg assimilated,
Jennette Forager: They will be developing tie-ins to their tools
Profdan Netizen: not much going on.
Kali Pizzaro: i think it is a way to integrate bb
Kali Pizzaro: with sl
AgileBill Firehawk: lol!
Serena Guardian: blackborg?
Kali Pizzaro: hehe
Serena Guardian: lol
Chimera Cosmos: borg LOL
Olivia Hotshot: Angel had an island - where students could directly teleport from the LMS (just a slurl) to get in.
Jennette Forager: http://idiarts.org/projects/25
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- the development in angel? has disappeared
Serena Guardian: How can we put pressure on BB to work with SL?
Jennette Forager: IDIA has produced a bridging toolset, linking the multi-user virtual environment of Second Life with Blackboard - providing a unified, secure and fluid hybrid learning experience. This project is funded by the Blackboard Greenhouse Grant for Virtual Worlds.
Chimera Cosmos once saw a debate between founder of WebCT and founder of Blackboard - on my campus :-)) Long ago...
Serena Guardian: because we're not getting rid of it any time soon
Profdan Netizen: They still do, that's where I'm doing my initial forays in using SL with students, Olivia.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- great question. get your own IT to sort out your own place
Profdan Netizen: We're required to use Angel.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- does not need to use bb
Ping Exonar: WebCT wrok with Moodle sloodle?
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: right--I use wikis and have no Bb site
Kali Pizzaro: We use bb however we are encouraged to use sl too
LoCE99Ch8 Morpork: IM me for Sloodle landmarks and notecards.
Margaret Michalski: External Edu is considering Moodle
Kali Pizzaro: if they can integrate it great
Olivia Hotshot: Ping, WebCT and Modle / Sloodle are two different companies,
Ida Galtier: Does anyone know how/if Sakai works with these tools?
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- is you are using bb. how would you use to different tools say 2d and 3d
Olivia Hotshot: Ida, i have not heard that Sakai integrates SL.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy0 How would you get that to work?
Serena Guardian: This is kind of basic but I link SLURLs in my BB site, and they can go straight there
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: exactly...you have students with two different environments...like my wiki and SL
Profdan Netizen: I'm initially using SL for real time chat. Would like to have students able to access the LMS from in world.
Olivia Hotshot: @Serena - that is how Angel did it essentially.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: embedded links in posters or objects might be a start
Spiral Theas: One student activity I have has a wiki and a SL component.
Kali Pizzaro: Sorry missed that last q Iggy
Spiral Theas: The students go to a wiki for some background...then in SL for the actual activity.
Spiral Theas: No presentation tools
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy - would like to hear how spiral is doing this
Spiral Theas: Right!
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- so doing the same as me ok good
Serena Guardian: Have you guys heard about the LLMedia VNC plug-in?
Spiral Theas: Problems with advancing the slides - who has control.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- How have presentation tools failed
Serena Guardian: sluggish network
Margaret Michalski: I know there is a tool that allows you type a document and it appears simultaneously in SL. But I don't know the name of it.
Profdan Netizen: or probs with slides rezzing.
Aphilo Aarde: Bandwidth
Fred Brecher: engagement
Kali Pizzaro: rezzing
Spiral Theas: Some of the media tools (like the one I built - ugh) couldn't go backwards and didn't pre-load slides.
Kali Pizzaro: Quicktime was torture in sl for Iggy
Zdenek Buchsbaum: Margaret: What about Drupal?
Serena Guardian: there is always a gap between potential and performance
Chimera Cosmos: ideal is one that you can change settings
Chimera Cosmos: for owner control or community control
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- good point chimera
Olivia Hotshot: @Serena - that describes my life.
Chimera Cosmos: for presenters
Kali Pizzaro: haha Olivia great mind s
Kali Pizzaro: me too
Margaret Michalski: @ Zdenek, that could be it.
Olivia Hotshot: =D
Aimee Pixelmaid: @Olivia - me too! lol
Spiral Theas: Also the Lindens spent uploading Yes, ideal is that, you're right Chim.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy - it was the uni fault
Spiral Theas: lides (as jpgs) and then having to import (and pay for) new ones when you make a correction.
Praxislady Witt: Bandwith issues on MACs
[Iggy's note: not at Richmond. Both Macs and PCs can lag, but it depends upon what's upstream from us. I noted however how a new PC, running Vista and with 4GB of ram, lagged badly on our wireless network. Using a wired connection helped this student]
Chimera Cosmos: Fleep's new tool using Etherboard does the simultaneous writing thing
Olivia Hotshot: @Chimera - i have one of her boards - i love it.
Chimera Cosmos: but you write on your own computers and it appears in SL on the board
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- macs seem to be better for SL
Aimee Pixelmaid: any URL for the Etherboard?
Spiral Theas: Sorry - typos there. Spending Lindens uploading jpgs - and then more lindens when you make corrections.
Jennette Forager: That can be a settings issue.
Olivia Hotshot: one sec, i have it
Jennette Forager: MACs have always done well in SL.
Chimera Cosmos: sells on XStreet and in Chilbo
Jennette Forager: ;-)
Chimera Cosmos: at Fleep's store
Aimee Pixelmaid: thanks
Chimera Cosmos: $10 lindens
Praxislady Witt: Yes, MAC is better form personal experience
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: correction: in our case, it was something upstream, not on campus, slowing things down
Jennette Forager: Bandwidth squeeze.
Kali Pizzaro: sorry
Kali Pizzaro: sir
ericcgcc Yootz: its not ram its the video card, macs come with a more expensive video card
Olivia Hotshot: Chilbo
Kali Pizzaro: indeed
Ping Exonar: more expensive MAC is right
Aimee Pixelmaid: I'm jealous! :-)
Praxislady Witt: Yes, near the heartbeat if internet, haha
Chimera Cosmos: lower end macs (not towers) are not great with video cards for SL
Olivia Hotshot: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Chilbo/102/152/2 = Fleep's store is there.
Aimee Pixelmaid: @Olivia - Thanks
Jennette Forager: I bet it wasn't cooling properly
Olivia Hotshot: Welcome/
Profdan Netizen: Sounds to me like there was something wrong with it.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- there was a great video card in it
Olivia Hotshot: It will land you outside of the store.
CathyWyo1 Haystack: good discussion I must go thanks
Praxislady Witt: Dell has Alienware now, so should be better for SL?
Jennette Forager: Yes, their experience is client-dependant.
Olivia Hotshot: Iggy, if you stream it in from your server you can control it.
Kali Pizzaro: if the students buy a expensive laptop then the students cannot see it that is not good
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- we can not assume that what works in our desktop will work for all
Spiral Theas: Good idea.
Kali Pizzaro: he is tempted to walk around campus and check it out
Eliasdehart Sixpence: gotta run - been doing virtual reference since the beginning
Eliasdehart Sixpence: will check the transcript
Kali Pizzaro: Byee
Eliasdehart Sixpence: cya all
Olivia Hotshot: Iggy, that is good IF the conditions in SL are the same. If you try it during a glitchy period results will be different.
Jarrad Voom: Bte Elias
Kali Pizzaro: Thank to all that are taking off
Chimera Cosmos: you can provide backup for students with weaker connections - flat web view
Morgen String: :-)
Olivia Hotshot: NMC media player
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- the tool is only as good as the support. Which presentation tools have u
Chimera Cosmos: not likely to have every student set up to view video in SL at this point
Kali Pizzaro: iggy will finish off
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: Next question to consider...which have good support in your opinion?
Serena Guardian: @athome has pretty good support; that's a store, though, not free.
Chimera Cosmos: unless you are at an elite school :-)
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: *good support
Olivia Hotshot: Is it really important for students to watch the video inworld? Could they watch it in a video window on a split screen?
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: LOL Chimera (I duck)
Jennette Forager: Hippo has excellent we documentation.
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: we prefer "selective" at Richmond
Chimera Cosmos: heh
Kali Pizzaro: haha
Chimera Cosmos ponders other adjectives...heheh
Zdenek Buchsbaum: @Olivia: Yap, thats natural way, i agree.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy - even if you are at a school where the students have all the equipment you can still have problems
Fred Brecher: yep
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- you need time to support and to use SL
Chimera Cosmos: right--you have to be quite self-supporting to try the latest tech :-)
Serena Guardian: they don't want to install SL in my computer classroom --as soon as they hit a bug, they stop it
Chimera Cosmos: most places
Kali Pizzaro: yeah
Spiral Theas: very typical...
Morgen String: yes, very typical:-)
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- How much time do tech folk need to support presentation tools
Chimera Cosmos: Spiral and I did a workshop at my school - and we had to install SL ourselves on every computer, and they wiped it that night
Kali Pizzaro: and Sl
Jennette Forager: Ack! Chimera!
Profdan Netizen: That's why campuses with a large number of online courses tend to want a uniform LMS.
Chimera Cosmos: at least they let us do it!
Serena Guardian: OK
Fred Brecher: I have a staff of 5 instructional technologists who support several hundred faculty across everything from Blackboard to SL to video editing and beyond.
Kali Pizzaro: Yeha you can put it on a usb
Serena Guardian: they can't even install it temporarily by us
Aimee Pixelmaid: You can?
Katie Fenstalker: only pc?
Serena Guardian: really?
Kali Pizzaro: yeah
Chimera Cosmos: unusual for computer labs to let faculty install
Spiral Theas: wow! you can?!
Chimera Cosmos: we did it for a special program, not a regular class
Aimee Pixelmaid: That could be a temporary answer for us. We are not admins on our machines.
Kali Pizzaro: i will try to find out
Spiral Theas: BIG thumbs...ha haa
Morgen String: sometimes, the problem is that th PCs available at school don't have the system requirements to install Second life
Jennette Forager: http://torley.com/home-computermy-new-setup-runs-second-life-really-nicely
Jennette Forager: Torley with a thumb drive
Chimera Cosmos: just like us, exactly
Aimee Pixelmaid: Thank you!
Fred Brecher: UR uses Deep Freeze
Jennette Forager: :D
Ida Galtier: Thanks, everyone. Got to run!
Spiral Theas: cool. thnx jennette.
Olivia Hotshot: Second Life on a Flash Drive - http://gaming.psu.edu/SLOnAFlashDrive
Fred Brecher: Many schools lock down their machines by setting people as "user" rather than "administrator". Hey Iggy.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- So how much time does it take to administer Sl presentation tools
Serena Guardian: yes Fred
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: right--as compared to other SL-specific duties
Profdan Netizen: And--how does it compare to pres. tools in classroom, or in LMS?
Olivia Hotshot: 41 people on sim - for the record
Aphilo Aarde: (Thanks - have to go now. Until next time ... ).
Jarrad Voom: bye aphilo
Kali Pizzaro:
https://mail.gcal.ac.uk/owa/redir.aspx?C=5783e19a2a4b4a389dd6158ddca445d4&URL=http%3a%2f%2fprojects.oscelot.org%2fgf%2fproject%2fbbslintegration%2fwiki%2f
Jennette Forager: Bye Aphilo.
Profdan Netizen: Similar to Olivia's idea of video in 2D.
Kali Pizzaro: bb link to sl
Katie Fenstalker: thinking of both inworld and off world synergy.
Kali Pizzaro: above
Cindy Bolero: I use Livestream to stream my viewer live to the web for several different things. Want me to demonstrate it now?
Cindy Bolero: one moment. need to set up
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- sure go ahead Cindy
Kali Pizzaro:
Jennette Forager: We need to be able to log into Office Outlook Web Access with that link Kali.
Chimera Cosmos: which way ae we looking? there are a ton of slides around us here LOL
Kali Pizzaro: oops sorry
Jennette Forager: Your firewall/network I suppose?
Jennette Forager pushes aside the notecards and screens to peer at the Viewer.
Kali Pizzaro: Iggy- next to the giant help sign click the tool on the right for hippo
Chimera Cosmos: by "HELP" hahaha
Jennette Forager grins.
Kali Pizzaro: back of table

Olivia Hotshot: Is the board resizable?
Kali Pizzaro: that should e it now sorry
Serena Guardian: Iggy, are you familiar with the LLMedia VCN plug-in that people are playing around with to embed websites and applications and remote viewing?

Mimi Muircastle: cool Iggy!
Serena Guardian: http://www.secondlifeupdate.com/machinimas/hd-video-creating-a-time-paradox-with-the-llmedia-vnc-plugin-in-second-life/

Serena Guardian: Wow
Ignatius Onomatopoeia: YES WOW
Spiral Theas: Can you tell us how you set that up?

[Cindy was able to capture our meeting live and stream it to her Livestream page]
Jennette Forager: And we use it for business meetings all the time, so that if part of the group wants to watch from the web without being in SL, they can.
Spiral Theas: Nice.
Cindy Bolero: I use this mostly for mentoring someone in SL for building and terraforming
Chimera Cosmos: flipping back and forth?
[I crashed at this point. Thank you to Margaret and Kali for the back-up transcripts! IÕve tipped in their additions]
Kali Pizzaro: they can see your editing
